Surface Preparation & Application Overview
- Check concrete moisture. Confirm the required test methods and acceptable results with the manufacturer. MVB-150 is not recommended for surfaces with excessive moisture.
- Prepare the surface. Follow the manufacturerβs required preparation method and concrete surface profile. Leave the surface clean, dry, and free of contaminants. Confirm the required film thickness and coat count before mixing.Β
- Mix the components separately. Mix Part A and Part B individually before combining them.
- Measure and combine. Use 2 parts A to 1 part B by volume. Mix for 2β3 minutes with a low-speed drill mixer at 300β450 rpm.
- Apply immediately. Pour onto the concrete and spread with a flat squeegee or roller. The listed pot life is 20 minutes at 77Β°F.
- Keep a wet edge. Spread evenly at the approved application rate and avoid excessive buildup.
- Apply the next coating. Use a manufacturer-approved topcoat within its specified application window. If that window is missed, obtain the required preparation instructions before proceeding.Β
Apply within the listed 50Β°Fβ80Β°F range. Read the current TDS and SDS for both components before use.

Confirm the conditions for these times with the manufacturer; only pot life is explicitly stated at 77Β°F. Tack-free does not mean ready for traffic or fully cured.
If you miss the recoat window: Confirm the required surface preparation before recoating. Also check the approved application window for your selected topcoat.
Before returning the floor to use: Follow the traffic times for the complete coating system, including any topcoat. Vehicle-traffic and full-cure times are not separately specified in the supplied sheet.
Safety & Storage
- Professional use only: Read the technical data sheet and both componentsβ safety data sheets before mixing or application.Β
- Ventilation: Use only in well-ventilated areas.
- Protective equipment: Avoid skin and eye contact. Wear appropriate gloves and eye protection, and follow each componentβs SDS for additional PPE requirements.
- Storage: Store above 40Β°F and keep out of childrenβs reach.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use MVB-150 on concrete with moisture problems?
MVB-150 is designed to reduce moisture vapor transmission but is not recommended for surfaces with excessive moisture. Confirm the required moisture tests and acceptable results with the manufacturer before use.
Which coatings can go over MVB-150?
MVB-150 is a base for approved epoxy and urethane systems. Check compatibility and the application window for the specific topcoat you plan to use.
Can I mix part of the kit?
Confirm that partial-kit mixing is permitted. The specified ratio is 2 parts A to 1 part B by volume. Follow the manufacturerβs partial-batch instructions and measure accurately.
